Spirit Animals

I first experimented with watercolour and ink in August 2018, after actively avoiding them for years. It was my wife, Griselda, who really pushed me to try them out.
Actually, the first thing I attempted was this super colourful representation of our solar system but it turned out so bad I never wanted to see it again. Griselda still has it somewhere.
The second thing I attempted was a gazelle, though it ended up looking like one of those wall-mounted hunting trophies which wasn’t my intention at all.
I was surprised by the freedom and control that I felt with the watercolours, as I’d expected to feel the opposite.
